The Olympus M.Zuiko 12-100mm f/4.0 PRO Lens is a high quality professional lens. A comprehensive zoom range of 24-200mm (35mm equivalent) with a high grade weather sealing construction and effective image stabilisation mean the lens is incredibly versatile. Designed to provide incredibly sharp images in a more portable size, the lens does not compromise on quality with its high end M Zuiko Optics.
Boasting an impressive 24-200mm (35mm equivalent) focal range the lens is suited for a huge amount of different shooting scenarios. From wide angle landscapes where you need solid dynamic range performance across the whole frame to tight close up portraits where detail is key the lens offers incredible results for every scene.
Using sophisticated optical technology, the 12-100mm lens is able to provide excellent image quality across its entire zoom range. It utilises special lenses like DSA (Dual Super Aspherical), HR (High Refractive index) lenses, and Super HR (Ultra High Refractive index) lenses to effectively manage chromatic aberrations and to make the impressive zoom range possible within such a small body.Compact Lens DesignThe glass materials with a high refractive index ensure that the diameter of the lens stays small and in keeping with the ethos of the Micro Four Thirds system. Professional QualityDesigned to meet the demanding needs of pro photographers the lens utilises multiple ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) lenses to control colour bleeding and ensure a high resolution is maintained across the entire frame. Z Nano CoatingZ Coating Nano technology is used on the elements delivers sharp, clear image quality, as well as significantly reduced ghosting in backlit situations to make it possible to shoot confidently into the light without worrying about flares.
With a constant f/4.0 aperture throughout the whole zoom range the lens delivers excellent results with striking bokeh. The wide constant aperture means that the lens is fast and bright offering better images of quick moving subjects and lower light situations.
Featuring a built in image stabilisation system that offers an impressive 5 shutter speed stops of compensation the lens can help you take steady shots. When combined with a compatible camera featuring 5-axis in-body stabilisation the combination delivers a whopping 6.5 stops of vibration reduction. This makes it one of the most powerful vibration compensations systems in production allowing even more possibilities for hand-held shooting.
Close-up macro photography can open up a whole new world of stunning imagery and this lens allows you to focus as close as 1.5cm away from the end of the lens. With a macro shooting magnification of 0.3x at the widest zoom angle and a minimum focus distance of 45cm when fully extended. This allows you to get close to your subjects whether that is people, objects or even insects making it easier than ever to fill your frame to capture dramatic compositions and fine detail.
The Olympus M Zuiko 12-100mm f4.0 PRO Lens features advanced weather proofing with a robust construction that offers protection from the elements. The lens is dust proof so that you can shoot in extreme conditions as well as being freeze proof to -10°C and splash proof to protect against water damage.
