Canon EOS 200D Mark II announced
Canon announces the 200D Mark II available for PRE ORDER at Parramatta Cameras now!
Canon has introduced a new entry-level DSLR, the Canon EOS 200D Mark II. Labelled Canon’s smallest and lightest DSLR ever, weighing just 450g, the 200D II inherits the same 24MP APS-C CMOS sensor as the Mark I, but gains an upgraded DIGIC 8 processor, 4K video (albeit with a significant crop factor) and Eye detection AF.
The EOS 200D Mark II maintains the same fully articulated 3" 1.04M-dot touchscreen as its predecessor, along with the 5 fps burst shooting rate and 9 point AF array. Canon says the battery life should see a significant improvement over the Mark I, however.
4K video is available at 24p, although this features a significant crop-factor like that on its mirrorless sibling the EOS M50. Dual Pixel autofocus is also unavailable when shooting 4K video.
The EOS 200D Mark II allows connectivity with smart devices via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi using the Canon Camera Connect app.
The Canon EOS 200D Mark II is set to hit shelves in Australia late April 2019 and is available at Parramatta Cameras to PRE ORDER today for $200 with our RRP set for $1099 (with 18-55mm f/4-5.6 IS STM Lens).
